The Caltech Code of Conduct and JPL Values are the cornerstones of our ethics and business conduct re‑quirements. They could be summarized as "do the right thing." Sometimes, however, the right thing is not obvious in today's complex business environment. It is important to have acknowledged and accepted standards of con‑duct to assure that both collective and individual behavior will be consistent with Laboratory objectives and policies. JPL's core values are openness, integrity, quality, and innovation. We believe that good business relationships rely upon a shared commitment to these values.
